Assessed & Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) / Newly Qualified Social Worker (NQSW)
ASYE’s/NQSW’s in their first 18 months of practice will receive accelerated increments with an incremental increase at 6 months, 12 months and 18 months (subject to the rules of the scheme) and be eligible to apply to move through the threshold to Experienced Social Worker at 2 years.

- Golden hello - You will receive a Golden Hello payment of up to a maximum of £3,000.
- Retention - You will receive up to £3,000 after 12 months completed service.
- Professional Subscriptions - You will receive reimbursement of your professional subscription.
- Student Loan Allowance Scheme - You will receive reimbursement equivalent to between 50% to 100% of student loan payment each month.

As a full-time employee, you’ll be entitled to a minimum of 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays. This rises by one additional day’s leave each year, on the anniversary of your

Staff car parking permits are issued to Torbay council staff members and are for use in Torbay council pay and display car parks. Car parks around council offices are plentiful and council
staff are able to park each day for a daily fee of either 50 pence (up to 6 hours) or £1. Staff members are also able to use their permit, and subsidised rate, at weekends in council car parks
