This consultation is now open. The final date for feedback will be Thursday 30 May 2019.

All local Authorities must ensure that there are sufficient good school places for all pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and disabilities. To support this duty in 2017 the Government awarded SEN Capital Funding specifically for the creation and improvement of specialist provision for children and young people with these needs. The Local Authority at the time consulted on areas for investment which are outlined within the background document available for download.

In December 2018 the Government announced an increase to this funding. Following a review of current provision and demand, the authority has identified further areas the SEN Capital Funding could be invested in as outlined within the background document available for download.
