Paignton Harbour - Launch & Recovery

The easily accessible popular slipway offers good launch facilities and is particularly busy during summer weekends as the facility is also used by the local sailing club and surrounding businesses, so please be patient when using the slipway.

Please be aware that NO PARKING is allowed on the quayside or on the slipway and that the use of the slipway is at the Harbour Superintendants discretion.

The harbour dries onto firm sand and a 4x4 is essential at low water springs.  Visiting boat owners or inexperienced mariners should seek advice from the Harbour Office before attempting any launch/recovery operation.

Personal Water Craft (Jet Skis) must be registered with the Tor Bay Harbour Authority before being used within the Tor Bay Harbour Limits. Please see the PWC page for more information.

If you are in Torbay on holiday you can choose the option to buy a 'weekly launching pass' which allows you to then launch at any of the three harbours (launching restrictions apply at Torquay). Please see the table below for weekly launching charges. All charges, dues and fees are subject to the appropriate rate of Value Added Tax (17.5%) which is included in the price, except as indicated.
