Palace Avenue

History of the Park

Palace Avenue Gardens is situated just beyond the junction of Brixham Road and Totnes Road. It is an attractive ornamental garden in the centre of the town and in which is also the location of the War Memorial for Paignton.
The well-laid out gardens are a riot of colour set in the centre of the town. It is a haven of peace and tranquillity in the midst of the town centre hubbub.

The Park and its People

The Palace Avenue Guardians joined forces with Youngs Park People (YPP) in 2008/9 to help improve Palace Avenue Gardens. This active group have sourced the sensory garden planters, plants and installed a new water feature together with Torbay Council.
The park is situated close to Paignton Town Centre and is adjacent to the Palace Theatre.
