Following its win of Visitor Attraction of the Year at the English Riviera and South Devon Tourism Awards 2017, and to round off an amazing year, Torre Abbey Museum will be hosting its first ever Winter Fest on 2 and 3 December from 10am to 5pm.

With an array of stallholders, from the local arts and crafts community, and only £2 entry for adults (kids and teens go free), it promises to be a winter fair that doesn’t disappoint.

If you are looking for beautiful hand made locally sourced gifts, there will be 30 stalls to browse. There will also be a children’s Christmas trail, around the house and gardens, and festive refreshments to get everyone in the mood for the festive season.

Cllr Nicole Amil, Executive Lead for Tourism, Culture and Harbours, said: “Torre Abbey Museum’s cultural offer goes from strength to strength and the Winter Fest is a culmination of wonderful events that have taken place there throughout this year.

“We have had a lot of interest from quality craft stallholders who are keen to come to the Abbey and take part. You will be able to browse a wide range of gifts while listening to festive live music and sipping on refreshments - a perfect event in a beautiful setting in the lead up to Christmas.

“I am so passionate about Torre Abbey Museum. Winning the Visitor Attraction of the Year at the English Riviera and South Devon Tourism Awards 2017 goes to show that this wonderful museum is getting the recognition it deserves. By coming to the Winter Fest you also are helping to support Torbay’s jewel in the crown - so plenty of reasons to come on down and celebrate Christmas.”
