The Active Devon Sports Workforce Development Bursary Scheme was launched in September and to date we have received 6 applications from NGBs, with several other applications due for submission in the next few weeks.
The Bursary Scheme aims to support the provision of appropriately skilled and qualified workforce to meet the delivery needs of:
- National Governing Body 2013-2017 Whole Sport Plans
- Sport England programmes
- Identified priorities, as defined in the South West NGB Matrix
Recent engagement meetings with NGBs and Clubs have shown that there is a real need to extend the focus of this funding to better reflect current and future need, therefore the Eligibility Criteria has been reviewed. The scheme can now support NGB Workforce Tutors and Unpaid Club Officials as well as Coaches, Sports Officials and Activators or Leaders.
The following documents have been revised:
Who is eligible? New or Existing Coaches, Activators or Leaders, National Governing Body (NGB) Workforce Tutors and Unpaid Club Officials.
Confirmation of award and payment process and monitoring document sent to individual.
Please Note: Applications for Bursaries will only be accepted from NGBs, and not from individuals, and ideally should be made to fund a specific course or CPD Event running in Devon.
More than one application can be submitted during the funding period, but we can only support an individual once during this period.
