When choosing your ceremony venue in Torbay, you are spoilt for choice. You could have your ceremony in The Register Office at Cockington Court or any one of the many prestigious venues that are licensed to hold these events across the bay. Each property has been individually and carefully inspected and approved as suitable for civil ceremonies. Wherever the civil ceremony is held, it will still be conducted by staff from the local Register Office.
If you decide to hold your ceremony in approved premises, you should first contact them direct to ensure that the date you want is available.
Torbay Register Office is situated in the historic Cockington Court at the heart of Cockington.
You can choose to hold your ceremony in any of the buildings approved by Torbay Council's Register Office.
Once you have arranged a venue for your ceremony you will need to legally register your intention to get married or have a civil partnership. This is called Giving Notice.
