Children who enjoy books from an early age learn to read more quickly at school. The fun you have with your child as you read, sing, repeat rhymes and share stories with them can also help improve their speech and language.
This free event introduces babies and toddlers to the magic of books with songs, stories and fun. Sessions last about half an hour, but you're welcome to stay longer for a chat, refreshments and to borrow some books.
These sessions are very popular, so be sure to book in advance at your local library.
