Children, Young Persons' and Families Strategy Sub Group

This group is made up of Torbay Council, Torbay Care Trust,the voluntary and community sector, service providers, carers, people who use services and other organisations with an interest in services for children, families and young people. The group leads on the development of housing and support services for children, families and young people.
The Youth Multi Agency Homelessness Prevention Protocol has been updated following the evaluation and is in the Related Documents.This protocol was set up for 16-17 year olds due to the Southwark Ruling made in 2009.
The Housing and Support Commissioning Strategy for Children, Families and Young People 2011–2013 is in the Related Documents section at the bottom of the page. This document sets out plans for the commissioning (planning, selecting and reviewing) of services for families and young people that promotes independent living outcomes and avoids homelessness.
The monitoring report for 2010-11 (1 April 2010 - 31 March 2011) is in the Related Documents. This gives information on young people and families accessing and leaving services and the outcomes achieved. It gives information on the performance of services that specialise in supporting children, young people and families
