Problems Paying the Council (Corporate Debt)

The Corporate Debt team collects money owed to Torbay Council, using all available options to collect from those who seek to avoid paying their debts, whilst providing advice to those who are experiencing genuine difficulties.
We recognise that it is essential to make early contact with debtors, and that centralising debts owed to different departments provides co-ordinated action to recover outstanding monies.
The Corporate Debt team will ensure that each customer who owes money to the Council is treated as an individual, within the Council’s equality policies.
