Paignton Green Mile

Paignton Green Mile was launched on Monday 21 June 2010 at 4pm.
The Green Mile is a Healthy and Active approach to using an area of flat land for locals and holiday makers to regularly exercise on a mapped out mile route. The project comes after months of hard work form Sport Council Chairman Roger Mann and Paignton Community College Director of Sport Jason Trevarthen. Both have worked with Torbay Council and local business to sponsor nine posts which mark out the mile route around Paignton Seafront.
On 21 June groups, clubs and schools ran and walked the route to promote the active and regular use of the Green Mile to help improve a healthy and fit lifestyle change to the local community.
Local sports clubs, groups and individuals are encouraged to kick start a new approach with Paignton’s green mile.
