Climate Change - Businesses

Forty percent of Torbay’s carbon emissions come from our businesses. Every business has a very important role to play in reducing the carbon emissions of Torbay.
Reducing the energy that your business uses will save you money. Reducing energy, water, waste, and transport costs will allow monies to be freed for development and growth of the business whilst reducing your contribution to climate change.
Get some quick tips on how to reduce the energy used in your workplace by downloading the 25 Simple Ways to Save Money in the Workplace and Reduce Climate Change leaflet (see Related Documents) and show your commitment to tackling climate change by completing the online Climate Change Pledge.
Depending on your business’s size and location you may be eligible for subsidised business support in the form of 3-10 days of dedicated support and high quality advice. Contact  on 0845 456 9350 further advice.
Businesses with annual energy bills exceeding £50,000 can apply to the Carbon Trust for a free carbon survey and 10 point action plan. Contact the Carbon Trust opens in a new window on 0800 917 3030.
