The Youth Service celebrates the National Youth Agencies re-launch of Youth Work Week, this year celebrating great youth work and generating positive publicity for young people locally, raising awareness of its benefits among politicians and the general public.

Youth News - Issue 21

The Youth Service, as part of Anti-Bullying Week has a booked production called Cyber Scream which will take place on Saturday, 21st  November at South Devon College, from 6pm to 8pm. The theatre group has bookings around England and we are fortunate in managing to get them to perform here in Torbay. The production is for 11-19 year olds and focuses on cyber bulling and disability and will be an inter-active event.

Torbay Youth Service has launched its brand newpositive activities and information website for young people www.my-bay.org.uk with the newly branded mobile provision for young people, “The Box”, appearing all over the Bay.

Youth News - Issue 19

Young people in Torbay are celebrating following news that the Government is ploughing more than £4.8 million into world-class sports and activities inthe area. The money, from the Government’s MyPlace programme, will see a new modern youth centre built on the site of the existing Parkfield House centre in Paignton, which is also being refurbished as part of the project.
