The role of the coach has become increasingly important in today's sport. The quality of sports development programmes and the enjoyment, safety and performance of participants are directly linked to the quality of the coach.

Torbay is part of the Devon Coach Education Programme which includes a variety of courses that provide you with the opportunity to learn and equip yourself with new coaching skills. Both specific (Governing Body Awards) and generic (sports coach UK , Running Sport & First Aid) coaching opportunities are included, which are aimed at all levels from beginners to more experienced coaches.
