King's Gardens
King's Gardens are adjacent to Abbey Gardens and are popular with children largely for the model-boating pond. The gardens were opened in 1905, by the Mayor of Torquay.
These gardens, although perhaps not popular for people to necessarily to sit in, are a main attraction as they are some of the first landscaped areas seen as you drive towards the seafront area.
In the evenings they are lit up with coloured spotlights and the Bowls Pavilion has lights all around the exterior shape of the building, making the whole area look so much more attractive.
