Internet Computers

Computer terminals are available for you to use in all 4 service points.

They are simple to operate and will allow you to:

  • Surf the Internet free of charge for the first hour (please ask a member of staff about joining the Public Access Internet Scheme).
  • Give us your comments and suggestions about our services.
  • Access our catalogue by author, title, phrase, keyword, subject and class number.
  • See if the item you require is in stock. This, as well as many of the following services, can also be achieved by viewing the Library Catalogue.
  • Place your own reservations on items in stock in Torbay Library Services. All you need is your borrower number and Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you do not know your PIN, a member of staff will be able to help. When the item arrives we will notify you to let you know it is available for collection.
  • Renew your own books. Again, all you need is your borrower number and PIN.
  • Access your own borrower record.
  • Access our Community Information database containing details of hundreds of clubs and societies in the area.

You may print from the computers - prints should be collected at the desk and are charged at 10p per A4 sheet.

The computers are easy to use but if you do get stuck - please ask a member of staff for help.
