Schools Library Service

Torbay Council currently has joint arrangements with Devon School Library Service to provide comprehensive support for all aspects of library-related resources, from full subscription to pay-as-you-use.

The service offers:

• Deposit loan collection of books
• Exchange service to refresh the deposit loan collection
• Curriculum topic collections to boost school resources on a temporary basis
• Bookshop for off-the-shelf purchases
• Book ordering service for books not available from the shelves
• Book Exhibition collection covering key stages 1, 2 & 3
• Booklists
• Advice and practical support on various aspects of school libraries and book provision
• Special exhibitions including Post 14
• Support / User group membership
• Courses and events
• Library management software and training
• Publications, stationery etc.
