Fuelling

A privately run fuelling station is located on the end of South Pier with a pontoon on the South side.  The facility supplies petrol, diesel and LPG.  Contact Riviera Fuel on 07786 370324.

Please note that the fuelling of boats on the quayside is prohibited

Water & Electricity

These services are available along Haldon Pier at regualr intervals and are also available at the top of the outer harbour slipway at Beacon Quay.  Please contact the Harbour Office for access to the water facilities and likewise cards will need to be purchased at the Harbour Office for electricity. (Please see the Tor Bay Harbour Schedule of Charges,Dues & Fees for costs).

Washing Down

The washing down of vessels and/or running of marine engines on any quayside is prohibited without the express consent of the harbour office on each occasion.

Waste Disposal

There are plenty of waste disposal bins located around the harbour including the addition of recycling facilities.  However, for bulkier loads we can supply large capacity 'wheelie' bins on request.

For the disposal of waste oils or contaminated fuel, a special waste tank is situated in the shelter on Haldon Pier.  If in any doubt about the use of this facility please ask for assistance from our staff.

Anyone with special waste disposal requirements should contact the Harbour Office.

Cranage

For the launching / recovery of vessels there is a mobile crane and lifting compound situated on South Pier.  Any lifting required on Haldon Pier is entirely at the discretion of the Harbour Master.  Please contact Torbay Seaways & Stevedores on 01803 296570.  (Overnight storage charges apply on Haldon Pier and South Pier - See the Tor Bay Harbour Schedule of Charges, Dues & Fees for costs).

Car Parking

There is adequate parking available in the adjacent multi-storey short stay car park (pay and display). However, due to constraints on space on the harbourside, there is no car parking permitted on the Torquay Harbour Estate.

Fishing

Fishing is prohibited (Harbour Bye laws) within any part of the Harbour or from any vessel in the harbour. However, there are plenty of locations to fish to, seaward from the piers. Please consult the Harbour Office for guidance about these locations, where fishing is welcomed and encouraged.  Any persons fishing within the enclosed harbours may face prosecution.

Swimming

Swimming and diving anywhere within Torquay Harbour is strictly prohibited (Harbour Bye laws).

Falling In

There are various ladders, grab chains and steps located around the harbour for getting out of the water. Lifebuoys are strategically located around the perimeter to assist in the rescue of a person in the water.
