Consultation on Proposed Babbacombe Cliff Railway Order 2008

Torbay Council has applied to the Department of Transport under the Transport and Works Act 1992 to update the legislation permitting the operation of the railway.

At the same time it has requested a general power to transfer operation to another body and a specific ministerial consent to a lease to Babbacombe Cliff Railway Community Interest Company.

Internal Reports explaining the background and the documents required to be submitted in support of the application are attached below.

Representations regarding the Application may be made to the Secretary of State for Tranpsort (using the address in the Statutory Notice) until 11th. December 2008.
