Summer Show 2008

Magic of the Movies

Dates: Monday 14 July until Thursday 28 August 2008
Times: Every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at 8pm

'Magic of the Movies' is a spectacular variety show with all the best hits from the movies, including Moulin Rouge, Blues Brothers, Chicago, and loads of sixties favourites.

The show is suitable for all the family and includes many if the kids favourite Disney numbers.

The Big Night Out

Date:- 5 August
Time: 8pm

Pete Reynolds is a fabulous vocalist, with a wonderful repertoire of songs and tributes to the greats including Nat King Cole, Matt Munro and Dean Martin. Plus special guest Mervyn Jaye - A top comedy impressionist with a talent for instant transformation both vocally and visually  into  Hollywood legends, Music Hall stars and film & TV characters.

The Power of Presley

Presented by Michael King, Elvis icon winner - Las Vegas

Michael King is a name that has become globally recognized within the Elvis tribute artist industry as one of top class showmanship and true professionalism at the highest level.

Many, many times audiences have marvelled at the preciseness Michael manages to re-create and re-capture the pure energy and power that Elvis himself delivered on stage throughout his career.

The voice, the look, the humour, the presence is all there time and time again.

He possesses that enviable quality of making his portrayal of Elvis look so natural and yet so believable at the same time. Michael has been a highly successful Elvis tribute for over fifteen years and has travelled the globe delighting even some of the most die-hard Elvis fans.

Back to Broadway makes a welcome return to the Palace Theatre following their 2007 tour.

Songs from some of the best loved west end and broadway musicals including Joseph, Blood Brothers, Phantom, Les Miserables and lots more, a night not to be missed.

Trevor Ward Foundation Gala Concert

Date: Sunday 31 August
Time: 7pm

Following last years sell out production of 'beyond the rainbow' the foundation is bringing their annual show to the Palace once again, with song and dance this night is a highlight on the Torbay Theatres calender.

Reprise

This is a concert performance consisting of popular songs from many different musicals, of which the entire cast and orchestra are all young people from the Torbay and Teignbridge area.

All profits go to Cancer Research UK.

Gary Ryan - Classic Guitar Studios

Date: 4 October
Time: 7:30pm

A solo performance by the internationally  acclaimed UK classical guitarist Gary Ryan, professor of guitar at the Royal College of Music, will be presenting a highly varied programme of guitar music from across the ages, including his own compositions.  The performance is unlikely to be suitable for children, unless they are over 6 years of age and studying classical guitar either at school or privately

To book any of the above events or shows please contact the box office on 01803 665800. The box office is open 10:30am - 5:30pm Monday to Saturday*

*opening times may vary. The box office will remain open until 8pm on show nights for the selling of tickets for that evenings show.

Please note that there is no online booking facility, you can reserve tickets over the phone for 3 days if booked more than 1 week prior to the show (subject to conditions)

Why not bring a group? - most of our shows offer a group concession for groups of 10+ ask the box office for more details.
