Torbay Council's Home Insulation Scheme

Torbay Council is committed to addressing affordable warmth and reducing carbon emissions within the Torbay area ,

Since July 2005 Torbay council has been running a very successful insulation scheme in partnership with Miller Pattison ( Insulation Company).  The scheme offers grants and subsidies towards cavity and loft insulation for all private owned and private rented residents in Torbay.

The scheme has now insulated over 2000 homes in the area and we have had some very positive feedback from savings achieved by installing cavity and loft insulation, and at the same time the additional added benefits of reducing your carbon emissions of your property and protecting the environment.

There are no forms to complete and no applications required , all you need to do is call the following free phone 0800 56 44 56 to get a no obligation survey of your property, During the survey your property will be assessed for eligibility to have either loft or cavity wall or both measures installed and also the surveyor will explain the additional benefits of having these measures installed into your property.

We estimate that an average house having cavity wall installed will reduce your carbon emission by 1 tonne each year as well as saving you 35% of your properties heat loss, At present Loft insulation is being topped up to 250mm (10 Inches) which will reduce your heat loss of your property for an average house by 25%
