Councils are no longer under any legal obligation to provide grants for home repairs. However, at Torbay we believe it is essential to provide financial assistance for people living in poor housing conditions, who are unable to finance repairs.

We also value working with landlords to help convert more buildings into residential accommodation, or to bring long term empty properties back into use.

Financial Assistance Enquiry Form

We have a range of financial assistance available. From 'Do It Online' you can access a form that can be completed and returned on-line. Simply fill in your details and the work required, then choose the 'Process' button toward the lower part of the form, to progress the request. A summary of the types and relevant conditions for which grants can be provided is described in a downloadable table.
