Riviera Housing Trust

On the 19th February 2001 Torbay Council handed over its social housing of nearly 3,000 dwellings to a new company called Riviera Housing Trust. This was done through a process known as a stock transfer.

The Council works in partnership with Riviera to provide a joint Housing Register that is run and managed by Riviera Housing.

Riviera Housing provides housing advice and assistance, including registration for social housing, tenancy problems, and general housing management queries.

Mission Statement

Riviera's primary objective is to provide good quality, affordable homes to meet the needs of existing and future Torbay residents. The policy of the trust is set by our voluntary Board and we are regulated by the Housing Corporation.
