Health Wize Torbay

Health Wize Torbay is a young people’s drop in centre offering free and confidential health advice and support on a range of issues.

If you are aged 13 – 24 years old, drop in for health advice, signposting or just a chat!

Some of the things we cover:

• Diet and healthy eating
• Looking after you – emotional health
• Stop smoking
• Know your limits – alcohol and drugs
• Free internet access
• Good sexual health
  • C-Card (free condoms and advice)
  • Free pregnancy and Chlamydia testing
  • Free emergency contraception

(NB: pregnancy testing and emergency contraception only available Tuesday and Thursday).

You can drop in or make an appointment either on your own or with a friend, parent or carer if you wish, it’s your choice!

Staff available include:

• School Nurses,
• Boys & Young Men’s Development Worker,
• Sexual Health Outreach Worker,
• Youth Workers,
• Lifestyles Workers

When you access Health Wize you will receive a completely confidential service even if you are under 16 years old! Any details that you give us will not be shared with anyone else. The only time this may happen is if we believe you or someone else is being harmed or abused in any way.

We have consultation rooms available to use if you would like to speak to us privately and we will do everything we can to help find the service you need if we cannot provide it here.
