Box & Bag Recycling Scheme

This scheme is for areas of Torbay that are not part of the Twin Bin recycling scheme and have a traditional collection method. Torbay Council recognise that recycling is important to everyone and has introduced a bag and box system into these collection areas which operates in the following way to ensure successful recycling and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Wanted for the Blue Bag

• Newspapers
• Magazines
• Catalogues
• Telephone Directories (not Yellow Pages)
• Junk Mail – But NO envelopes or any other type of paper products.

Please put them Loose inside your Bag for Collection.

Wanted for the Green Box

• Glass Bottles
• Jars

Clean and empty please but NO stoppers or lids and please put them Loose inside your Box for Collection.

Please be aware that only those items requested should be placed in the containers as, the mixing of unwanted items with the requested recycling materials will prevent the crews from emptying the bag and box.
