Outline Application Forms
- Application for Outline Planning Permission With Some Matters Reserved
Use this form to establish whether a development is acceptable in principle. This type of permission is usually sought for larger schemes. Detailed plans are not usually submitted at the outline stage although there are still some plans that we will need to see. We may also ask for specific details about elements of the scheme. Outline permission is valid for three years but the period extends to five years if reserved matters (see below) are approved.
Note: Outline applications cannot be submitted for a change of use. Also, in certain cases - for example. in a Conservation Area, an outline application may not be appropriate and an application for full permission may be required.
- Application for Outline Planning Permission With All Matters Reserved
If you have already obtained outline consent for a proposal with detailed matters reserved for later consideration you need to submit an application for the approval of these matters. The outline permission must not have expired (ususally you have three years from the date of approval to submit reserved matters) and the submitted details must accord with the outline approval and any conditions that were attached to the consent.
