The Disposal of Assets at Foundation & Voluntary Schools

The DfES aims to protect all land and premises used by foundation or voluntary schools which have been provided or enhanced at public expense.

If the governing body of a foundation or voluntary is considering disposing of some the school's land or premises, then in most cases, they will need to seek the consent of the Secretary of State.
