Post 16 Bus Passes

Torbay Council issue 3 different types of bus pass; a Bronzerider a Bluerider and a Firstrider. For entitled Torbay Students attending an establishment outside of Torbay and over a certain distance, Rail Passes are generally issued although this does NOT apply to Exeter College Students as a Bluerider pass will always be issued. What is the difference between a Bronzerider, Bluerider and a Firstrider bus pass?

A Bronzerider pass can be used for unlimited travel, 7 days per week on any Stagecoach route within Torbay (excluding Summer holidays). The ticket is also valid for journeys to Newton Abbot, Totnes and Kingswear.
A Bluerider pass is only valid for school journeys Monday to Friday and is not valid after 19.30pm. This type of ticket is generally issued if the Student is attending a School/College outside of the Torbay area and are allocated to a public route that is not operated by Stagecoach. Blueriders are only valid on the route the Student is allocated to.
A Firstrider pass can be used for unlimited travel, seven days per week on the First network within Torbay including use on the X80 to Plymouth and the 64/65 service. It is not valid during the Summer Holidays

How are the bus passes issued?

Bus passes are issued on a termly basis, as long as the monthly payments are up-to-date or after a termly payment has been made.

What happens if my bus pass is lost or stolen?

Replacement passes are issued at a cost of £10.00. This payment is required before a new pass can be issued.
