Torbay's Promise to You
The Torbay Children’s Partnership Trust promise to:

1. To build a relationship based on respect and trust between you and the people who work in the trust.
2. To make sure you can take part, whatever your race, gender, disability, sexuality, culture or faith.
3. To make sure you can express yourself fully and take part in different ways such as creative writing, artwork, audio, video or online.
4. To make sure that you can take part in their work and that their, Torbay Council’s policies will be easy to understand.
5. They will make sure you and Council staff and volunteers get the right help to make sure you can take part from beginning to end.
6. They will make sure you and your input is recognised and rewarded and that you get certificates for taking part and for skills you have gained.  They will make sure the proper praise is given to you for your hard work.
7. They will keep things clear and simple so you can make choices and get involved.
8. They will make sure that you know what the council have done, if more things need to be done and how you can carry on being involved.
9. They will record and report on what does or doesn’t work so that next time they do can constantly improve things.
10. AND as it’s their job to make sure you can get involved they will accept blame if they don’t make sure you can.

It’s your choice - you should only be involved if you want to and you feel they are listening and involving you.
