Torbay Children's Partnership Trust

Torbay Children’s Partnership Trust is made up of Torbay Council and their partners such as local health services, who work for children and young people (which we will call services from now on).  The Trust agree with the United Nations and think that you should be involved in making decisions about things in Torbay.

Group outside

This means they will listen to you and work in partnership with you, and sometimes your parents or carers, to make life better for all children and young people, and their friends and families.  They say they want to make sure all Torbay’s children and young people have “fulfilling opportunities in life.”

Group working

They want to be able to listen to children and young people and work with us in all their services, from the ones for everyone (e.g. the Youth Service) and the ones for some people (e.g. targeted services such as Social Services) so we can be involved! It is important to involve all children and young people including those who need more help than others.

People

They believe that involving you will make sure the services they provide will be better for you, your friends, the people you live with and families.

You might want to tell them what you think about:

  • School (your education)
  • Safety in Torbay
  • The environment
  • Connexions and Extended Services in Schools

In fact anything at all YOU think is important…

Group working

You may want to get involved in …

  • Consultations - from feedback forms to review panels
  • Participation Groups – to be actively involved on a regular basis

Recruitment & selection – interview panels made up of young people that help to chose the people who work with children and young people
