We believe passionately that every child no matter what age or background should have the chance to learn to play a musical instrument and to this end we have put in place the following schemes.

We have a stock of instruments which can be hired out on a termly basis at considerably reduced rates. Everything from flutes to bassoons, trumpets to tubas, violins to double basses. The stock is limited and hired out on a first come first served basis so parents should contact us as early in the term as possible. This is a good way to “try out” an instrument before you buy. We can then introduce you to suppliers who have a variety of schemes in order to make the purchase of an instrument easier. For those unable to afford to buy then we can enter into longer-term hire agreements.

Every primary school is given a grant to allow the possibility of introducing their pupils to the joys of music making by learning to play an instrument. Please ask your school about their provision.
