Torbay Academy of Performing Arts
The Torbay Academy of Performing Arts (TAPA) is the name under which Torbay Council Musical Activities will be organised. We hope that over the next few years, more and more musical opportunities for young people will unite under this name.
We are always interested to hear from anyone interested in the music that goes on in the bay. Please contact us with comments or suggestions. We would also love to hear about what’s going on locally, particularly for our young people. It might even get a mention on our ‘What’s On?’ page!

The Torbay Freemen’s Golden Jubilee Fund
‘The Freemen in Torbay, in the year of Queen Elizabeth’s Golden Jubilee, wanted to return something to the residents of Torbay for the honour given to them as Freemen of the Borough.
They thought for many months and finally decided to set up a Charitable Fund to help those who were musically minded but whose families had financial difficulties in purchasing an instrument of their choice or paying for musical tuition.’
To find out more about this fund, please download a leaflet, including an application form, from the list at the side of the webpage.
