The vision takes shape

For discussion - work in progress

Preliminary drawings of the proposed new Paignton Community Library were unveiled on April 24th, when the Torbay Council Consultation Caravan visited Vicotoria Street in Paignton. The impressive, ultra-contemporary design was much admired and library staff were on hand to answer questions and listen to suggestions about the project. Also revealed were the latest floor plans by architects Kensington Taylor.

We welcome your feedback on these plans and on the preliminary drawings. You can do so in one of two ways:

  1. There is a public information display at Paignton Library, Courtland Road, where you can view the plans and leave written comments.
  2. Use the feedback links in the right hand column of this page

We'll keep you informed of new developments via the display boards at Paignton Library, through news releases, on our website and through further consultation opportunities. We’re also looking into a regular blog for those of you who are online-savvy. At every stage of the process, we welcome your views and ideas on how you want your library to look, to work and to feel.
