Items in Stock & Items not in Stock

How do I find what library items are in stock?
Simple! Either ask a member of staff or use a Viewpoint terminal in the library and perform your own catalogue search and set your own reservation if you wish.

What if the item I want is not in stock?
Don’t worry. We may be able to request your book through our Ordering Service.

Please ask a member of staff who will give you a reservation card to complete. We will try to obtain the book for you from another library in the country. When it arrives we will notify you that it is available for collection.

Renewing books
Need more time to finish Lord of the Rings? Then just renew!

It's so easy to renew your books and avoid overdue charges. Here's how:

  • In person - pop into your local library and ask a member of staff to renew your book for a further three weeks. As long as it's not wanted by someone else who has paid to reserve it, there's no problem.
  • By phone - call your local library and be ready with either your borrower number (beginning BB..... at the top of your library card) or the numbers on the barcode at the foot of the date label in each book.
  • Online go to the online Library Catalogue and call up your Borrower Information. From there, it's only a mouse click to renew your books!
