Youth Service - Volunteering

The Torbay Youth Service gives a number of opportunities for adults who would like to be involved in working with young people.

The Service works mainly with young people aged 13-19 and works in partnership with the voluntary sector to deliver quality opportunities in centres, within street based youth work and within local projects. The opportunities will be diverse, e.g. from work within sports, arts and leisure, through residential and outdoor activities and international experiences.

A variety of accreditation schemes are followed such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Youth Achievement Award, and Torbay's ‘Making a Difference’ (MAD) award. Training is provided and police checks are compulsory. There are also opportunities for young people who would like to become involved with individual projects.
