Childcare

There are various types of childcare in Torbay which includes day nurseries, school nurseries, pre-schools, registered childminders and out of school care such as after school clubs and holiday play schemes.

Services offered by childcare providers and prices will vary from provider to provider. However, you can identify the type of childcare available by the name of the setting i.e. childminder, pre-school, school nursery or day nursery.

Occasionally you may find a childcare provider has a particular title but offers services that fall into another provider category. For example ABC Pre-school may in fact be more similar to a day nursery or vice versa. However, in the main the name of the setting should give you an indication of the type of childcare on offer.
