Registering a Birth, Death or Still-Birth

The team at Torbay Register office are friendly, helpful and very much in demand. Approximately 2500 deaths and 2000 births are registered as having taken place in Torquay, Paignton and Brixham each year. Therefore we have an appointment system in place to ensure that you are not kept waiting for any length of time.

Situated on the first floor of Oldway Mansion we are open Monday to Friday 9-30 to 4-30.

It may not be convenient for you to visit the Register Office of the district in which the birth or death occurred. If this is the case you may register the birth or death at any Register Office in England and Wales to make a declaration of the particulars required. If you decide to do this the certificates and related paperwork will be posted to you.
