Mayoral Vision - Oldway Development Project

From 28 May - 4 July, a consultation exercise was carried out by Torbay Council to obtain the community's views on the future of Oldway Mansion and it's grounds and the results are now in!

During the six week consultation period 479 people took the opportunity to have their say on the ideas put forward by short listed developers Urban Splash and Swan Country Homes. They were also asked to think about which developer they would like to take the site forward and the type of development they would like to see at Oldway.

Torbay Council, the TDA, and the selected developer have entered into an exclusivity contract and there is good progress with advancing the agreement to lease, which will enable the development to proceed. The preferred developers, who will undertake the development and own and run the hotel, have commenced the stakeholder consultation and draft design work that is a precursor to the submission of a planning consent.
