A license is required to use a portion of a public street, road or place for the sale of food and drink and for the placing of tables, chairs and other furniture outside a restaurant or cafe for patrons to use whilst consuming food and drink.

Please note: Applications must be in no later than December to allow processing and objections in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 Part VIIA for the three year period commencing 1st April.

Fees

• £200 to be paid for the first 12 month period – payable on issue of permit
• £125 to be paid yearly for next 2 years (3 year permit) to be invoiced annually in March/April
