Financial Services provides a comprehensive financial management service to all departments of the Council. We aim to 'provide a quality financial support service which effectively, efficiently and economically meets the needs of our customers'. This includes:
- providing financial advice to all service managers and elected members
- providing financial advice for strategic planning and policy making to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources
- provision of financial management information to all service managers
- co-ordination and preparation of the Council's statutory statement of accounts
- advice and co-ordination on the effective use of capital and revenue budgets
