Torbay Children’s Services and Torbay Schools process information about children in order to run their education and social care systems and meet requirements set down by Government.
Throughout our collection and processing procedures we ensure this complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. This means that the data held about children must only be used for specific purposes allowed by law.
The new DfE Privacy Notice, sent out through Schools and the Local Authority, replaces the former Fair Processing Notices. The documents below outline how the DfE and Local Authority handles pupil data (see Teachernet
