How did a simple girl from East Ham rise to become the most famous singer of her time, the Forces’ Sweetheart and Britain’s first National treasure?

Experience Dame Vera Lynn’s remarkable story from her time performing in working men’s clubs at the age of seven, through singing with dance bands at 14, working her way up to the top bands in the land and finally to her incredible wartime popularity and beyond to the 50s, 60s and 70s.

In this authentic stage biography, Samantha takes the role of Dame Vera, beautifully capturing her warmth and spirit and singing her most famous songs (plus a few less well known ones too!).

Samantha is Britain’s foremost interpreter of Vera Lynn’s music:

“Perfection. Her vocal range is remarkable”, The Stage newspaper

“I very much enjoyed it. I am thrilled that through my music Samantha is keeping alive the memory of those brave boys. Clearly she is very talented”, Dame Vera Lynn

The songs are accompanied by James Hall at the piano, a talented performer in his own right.

Please come along and share in this affectionate tribute to Dame Vera.
