After two long, festival less years, The Brixham Pirate Festival is set to make a triumphant return in 2022!
A swashbuckling mix of piratical fun and entertainment!
There will be LOTS of pirates, military and period re-enactors here with guns and cannons to make plenty of noise! We will make sure there is plenty of music too with shanties and pirate rock to keep ye hoppin'. Buskers, jugglers and other entertainers will perform around the streets and harbour of Brixham. There will be other shows, re-enactments and events around the town through the weekend.
The festival takes place throughout the town with main stage right next to the Golden Hind boat in the inner harbour.
We aim to make the festival suitable for everyone and all ages. There will be events for the kids to watch and take part in like puppet shows and street acts. Historical re-enactments and plays during the day. Fancy dress competition for age groups from little to ancient! Music to suit all tastes and more music in the (pirate filled) pubs in the evening. There will be cannons, guns and music so it might be loud!
Please dress up if you can, whatever you can manage will be fine even if it is just an eye-patch! There will be LOTS of pirates in costume right through the weekend so you will fit right in. We stay in costume in the evening too!
