Ellacombe Park

Sir LV Palk donated Ellacombe Green on 6th September 1867. The garden and children's playground was opened in July 1938.
In the year 2000 much work was done to provide new play equipment for this area and this has been well received by local residents and their children.
Although you would never know it, the park was built on a rubbish tip. The Council bought the site in 1890 but nothing was done about the land for nearly 50 years.
