Advice and Advocacy Services
There are a number of not-for-profit organisations covering Torbay that provide information, advice and advocacy for a wide range of subjects.
Bathing and Showering
Some people have difficulties with bathing and showering (e.g. with getting in and out a bath) because of disability, poor health (risk of falls or dizziness), or increasing age. The purpose of this information sheet is to give advice on ways around these difficulties and provide information on help available.

Caring for an Adult with a Mental Health Condition
This information sheet is for unpaid carers who are living in Torbay and caring for an adult (18 - 64 years) who has a mental health condition. Its purpose is to raise awareness of support services for carers, so it does not necessarily include all services for people with mental health conditions, but you can find this type of information from the sources within this sheet.
Caring for Someone with a Life-Limiting Condition
This information sheet is for unpaid carers who are living in Torbay and caring for a friend or relative with a terminal or life-limiting illness.
Caring for Someone with a Long Term Condition or Disability
You are a carer if you are looking after (unpaid) a relative, child, friend, or neighbour, who has a long-term illness, disability or mental health problem, or someone affected by frailty caused by age. You are not alone if you consider yourself to be a carer, as there are an estimated 14,000 carers in Torbay and over 7 million nationally.
Computers
This information sheet is about computers and services specifically for people with disabilities, including those that supply computers. It is intended to act as a basic guide to getting a basic home PC, sources of advice and local access to organisations offering time-limited PC access.

Publication Scheme - A Guide to our
