Holidays & Term Times
School Term and Holiday dates are set by the Council and apply to all Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools. Governing Bodies of Voluntary Aided and Foundation Schools are recommended to adopt the dates set by the Council.
Our term and holidays dates for 2009/10 and 2010/11 together with non-pupil and occasional days for 2009/10 are detailed below (see Related Documents). For further information on other closure dates please contact your child's school.
Term-Time Holidays

Proposed Term and Holiday Dates 2011/12
Following the announcement that the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012 will be marked by an additional public holiday on Tuesday 5 June and that the end of May public holiday will be moved to 4 June, the half-term has been moved to the week commencing 4 June.
Subject to Parliamentary approval the length of the school year in 2011/2012 will be reduced from the normal 190 days to 189 days.
