This is an exciting opportunity to join the existing vulnerability and complex needs officers within the ASB and Vulnerability Team, who work in partnership with others to enhance community safety, reduce risk and anti-social behaviour. The role will work closely with a variety of internal and external partners to assist people with multiple and complex needs to effect positive change and advise other professionals on strategies to engage and support clients. As a specialist role, you will utilise your expertise to best effect in a partnership environment to lead or promote work that reduces social isolation, promotes access to and engagement with services, challenges anti-social behaviour, promotes community safety, reduces risk of harm and devising creative and proactive methods of working with people. To complement existing skill sets we welcome applications from those with a background in addressing substance misuse. Relevant experience is required.

An exciting role has been created within Legal Services for an additional Barrister for child protection matters given increasing demand in this area to work alongside our existing counsel and busy team of lawyers. In addition to conducting advocacy and providing advice for the Council, it is envisaged that this role will also assist in training sessions for our Social Workers to improve practice and therefore outcomes for children.

We are looking for a Barrister with extensive experience in this practice area, who will bring with them high standards in service delivery.
