All Members are entitled to receive a Basic Allowance for their role as an elected Councillor. A number of Councillors also receive a Special Responsibility Allowance for their additional duties that they may serve e.g. Executive member or Chairperson of Development Management Committee.

Members are able to claim travel and subsistence expenses whilst undertaking an authorised approved duty.

All of the above are stated in the Members Allowance Scheme in theĀ Constitution.
