Devon Partnership NHS Trust - Council of Governors
Description
The Council of Governors is responsible for representing the interests of members and helping to share the Trust's future plans. It will influence the Board of Directors, which is made up of executive and non-executive directors and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Trust. The Chair of the Trust will chair the meetings of both the Council of Governors and the Board of Directors.
The Council of Governors will be expected to inform Monitor (the independent regulator for Foundation Trusts) if it has any concerns about the performance of the Board of Directors which cannot be resolved at a local level.
