The Minutes of the meeting of the Investment and Regeneration Committee held on 26 June 2018 were confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chairman.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider passing a resolution to exclude the press and public from the meeting prior to consideration of the following items on the agenda on the grounds that exempt information (as defined in Paragraph 3 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended) is likely to be disclosed.

Minutes:

Prior to consideration of the item in Minutes 153 to 155 the press and public were formally excluded from the meeting on the grounds that the items involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended).

New Investment Opportunities

To consider potential investment opportunities.

Minutes:

Liam Montgomery, TDA, outlined a local investment opportunity and an out of area investment opportunity as set out in the submitted exempt reports which were circulated prior to the meeting.

 

Resolved:

 

The decision in respect of Investment Opportunities 1 and 2 are restricted due to exempt information contained within the decisions.

 

(Note:  Councillor Darling (S) left the meeting after discussion of Investment Opportunity 2 and during discussion of Investment Opportunity 1.)

Update on Existing Investments

To receive an update on existing investments.

Minutes:

Members received a verbal update on existing Investment Opportunities including the final signing off of the loan to THAT Group to enable the Torwood Street development to proceed which was made public last Wednesday.
